Skyline¶
Skyline - The first model of dead silence 4k gaming and productivity built into a compact SSF ITX form factor. This build uses the NR200 or NR200p ITX case as a framework to build around. This build includes 4.5 terabytes of Storage (500GB in C Drive, 4TB in D Drive), one of the best gaming AMD CPUs on the market, the current best SFF power supply made by Corsair, a reliable motherboard with excellent build quality by ASRock, the best value high-end GPU model with cooling by MSI, enough RAM by Corsair for multiple heavy programs to run flawlessly, a dual tower CPU cooler by Thermalright capable enough to run the 5800x3d with sub-50°C temperatures, 4 Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans, the best fans on the market currently to keep the internal components at a stable temperature, a custom tailored PCIe cable by Moddiy, and the best value ITX form factor case for cooling and hardware support on the market by Masterbox, all running with the Windows 11 Home OS system. This system is built to last at least 7 years with occasional proper maintenance and cleaning.

Build Report¶
Moddiy cable preferences
- Cable Color: Black
- Cable Style: Ultra-Soft silicone wire
- PSU Model: Corsair SF740 Platinum
- Cable Length: 40cm
BIOS changes:
- Swapped boot disc locations (See SSD placement details below)
- TPM 2.0 enabled
- Secure boot enabled
- Slight CPU undervolt
- Adjusted fan curves
SSD placement:
Motherboard supports 2 NVME SSD slots: 1 in front w/heatsink, 1 in back w/no heatsink. The 4TB SSD was moved to the front for heatsink support, since most heavy programs will run on the 4TB SSD. Changed BIOS boot location to the 500GB SSD in the back of the motherboard. The motherboard will usually default to the 4TB SSD because of its placement in the front.
- 4TB SSD in front w/heatsink
- 500GB SSD in back w/no heatsink
PSU placement:
- PSU is placed on the back panel to further enforce the airflow.
- PSU fan is positioned to face the back panel, allowing heat to immediately dissipate out of the case.
CPU cooler placement:
CPU dual tower is not symmetrical- the top and bottom are not centered with the heat pipes.
- CPU dual tower installed with the displacement towards the bottom. This will allow room for thicker cables to be routed on the top without top system fan interference.
System fan placement:
- Top: Exhaust (x2)
- Bottom: None
- Side: None
- GPU: Horizontal exhaust
- CPU Dual Tower: Dual exhaust, one middle, one above RAM
